THIS LAND

How can I make you understand

About the splendour of our land

A place where stories are often told

Of people born and people old

A place where the bright sun shines

A land that’s moving with the times

There is a richness in this earth

With each and every wonderful birth

A land for everyone to see

There’s place here for both you and me

Let’s work together on this land

Helping each other hand in hand

Together we can create a place

So full of love – let’s make it safe

A place of sunshine and of laughter

A place to live forever after

Only those who have lived here can see

What this land means to me.

    Hi Keri-Ann

Hopefully this will now work, with your suggestion. The poem was written by me at the time that the new SA was born.
